Dolly Jørgensen is Professor of History, University of Stavanger, Norway and researches the cultural histories of animals. Her book The Medieval Pig was published in 2024 and her earlier book Recovering Lost Species in the Modern Age: Histories of Longing and Belonging was out in 2019. She has a new book called Ghosts Behind Glass: Encountering Extinction in Museums coming out with University of Chicago Press in 2025.
